ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Senior/Lead Full-Stack Unity Developer with 5+ years experience to
become the technical foundation of our mobile games team.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the way we build, from defining architecture and
workflows to mentoring teammates and setting quality standards. You’ll work alongside
the Product team on both prototypes and live titles, helping us move quickly, test ideas
confidently, and bring joyful singing experiences to life on mobile.
You’ll be joining early - not just to write great code, but to help create the systems, tools,
and engineering culture that help us learn fast and scale well.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead Unity architecture and development across all Sing King mobile games
- Build and iterate gameplay prototypes with Game Design and Product
- Implement production systems: UI, logic, data flow, and performance optimisations
- Connect Unity clients to backend APIs and live ops features
- Define and uphold best practices for code quality, scalability, and maintainability
- Mentor and support junior Unity developers
- Improve tools and workflows to increase build speed and iteration
- Contribute to overall technical decision-making across projects
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Unity Expertise - You’ve spent 5+ years working in Unity, shipped at least one live mobile game, and have deep fluency with Unity’s tools and systems (addressables, custom inspectors, ScriptableObjects, etc.). You know how to scale and maintain codebases that balance speed with performance.
Full-Stack Capability - You’re comfortable across frontend and backend. Whether
it’s integrating with REST APIs, working with Firebase or PlayFab, or handling
UI/state/data in Unity, you know how to build robust, connected game
experiences.
Prototyping & Velocity - You move fast and prototype often. You’ve built
gameplay systems, UI flows, and feature tests that help teams learn quickly. You
care deeply about developer tooling and workflows that accelerate iteration
without cutting corners.
Leadership & Mentorship - You’ve mentored junior devs or led small teams
before. You’re excited to guide, unblock, and grow others. You provide thoughtful
code reviews, communicate clearly, and raise the technical bar for those around
you.
Culture & Collaboration - You’re independent, solutions-oriented, and thrive in
small, creative teams. You bring ideas to life by collaborating with designers and
artists, and enjoy moving between gameplay, systems and live ops - where the
impact is needed.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience in music, rhythm, or singing games
- Cross-platform development (TV, WebGL, console)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, analytics tools, or Unity Cloud Build
- Backend or database experience (Firebase, PlayFab, Node.js)
