"To apply: Ref - 5338200. An exciting opportunity for an experienced Game Artist to share their expert industry knowledge as a Game Art Tutor. Our client works very closely within the games industry, offering students BA and MSc courses and providing excellent networking opportunities with leading game studios.
Requirements
• We are seeking a Game Artist who has professional, full development cycle experience releasing game titles/or interactive experiences (VR/AR/XR)
• A thorough knowledge of art software and tools: Maya, Blender, Zbrush and digital sculpting: Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Unreal Engine 5 etc.
• Experienced in creating props, environments, lighting and post-process effects
• Understanding of Unreal Engine, Blueprints and game engine optimisation
• Knowledge of Art Direction, Style Guides and Level Design
• Desirable to have knowledge of Architecture, Realtime FX, Realtime Cinematography and packaging games and troubleshooting
• Teaching experience and/or a willingness to undertake training
• Can provide a portfolio/or documentation to show your Game Art work
• A degree or MA
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Head of Creative Technology and Head of Games to create Game Art programs
• Teach Game Art processes, both artistic and technical principles, and create educational materials to support
• Teach foundational and advanced Game Art in Lighting, Foliage, Environment, asset creation and Art Direction
• Guide students on the latest industry pipelines and their technical limitations
• Conduct training sessions in various formats (classroom, online, etc.) and provide feedback and evaluations
• Offer individual feedback, coaching, and support to students
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Recruitment teams for promotional activities and business development
This role is hybrid in London.
On non-teaching days you can work from home if you wish, teaching days are on site. Generally staff are in the studios 2.5-5 days per week depending on timetable.
Prior experience in these areas would be desirable but the studio really values talent and passion above all else!
