Games Programmer

Pocket Sized Hands are looking for a Games Programmer to work alongside our growing team to help deliver amazing titles with world-renowned IPs such as Rick and Morty, and Oddworld. In joining Pocket Sized Hands, you will be joining a team of brilliant, boundary-pushing innovative Game Developers. We believe in a creative process of sharing new ideas, learning and developing new skills through a continual improvement mindset, all while working on some sensational projects targeting a variety of platforms including PC, Console, and VR. 

About the Role 

As a Games Programmer at Pocket Sized Hands, you will work closely with your project team and beyond to assist in developing features and making meaningful contributions toward the completion of projects. You will have the chance to cover many aspects of games programming and take ownership of game features through this. 


  • Collaborating and coordinating with other team members to design and implement gameplay features for titles. 

  • Participate confidently in regular peer reviews, giving and receiving feedback on work. 

  • Optimizing and debugging code to create smooth and enjoyable gameplay experiences. 


  • Experience working within Unreal Engine and/or Unity  

  • Experience in using Jira or similar for managing work and time 

  • You can demonstrate previously completed work where you played a role in creating solid gameplay with a polished user experience. 

  • Proactive working mindset with clear priorities, seeking input and guidance where required. 

  • Able to present ideas and communicate effectively within the team and across disciplines, whether verbal or written.
