"To apply: Ref - 5384738. My client is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Data to lead their data initiatives for their mobile IP’s. This will be based on site in the Middle East. The package on offer will be tax free + bonuses + benefits. This will provide visa/relocation assistance to the Middle East.
Responsibilities
- Lead the data strategy for the organization, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Oversee the collection, processing, and analysis of game data to drive player engagement and retention strategies.
- Develop and implement advanced analytics frameworks to derive actionable insights from data.
- Collaborate with product managers and game developers to integrate data-driven decision-making into game design processes.
- Mentor and manage a team of data analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data-related processes and systems.
- Conduct regular presentations and reports to stakeholders, illustrating data insights and their implications for game development.
Requirements
Over 8 years of experience in a senior data role, with some experience in the Computer Games industry.
Strong understanding of data analytics tools and technologies, including statistical analysis and data mining.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, as well as data visualisation tools.
Solid experience with big data technologies, including experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data findings into clear, actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
A passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player behaviours and trends within the industry.
