Lead Game Designer – BAFTA Nominated Studio – 100% Remote working
A London based Games studio are currently looking for a Lead Game Designer to work on a range of new titles on mobile platforms. The studio is currently working on a range of sequels to their hit, BAFTA nominated debut title and require this person to work closely with the Co-Founders, Content Designers and Narrative Teams, in developing the overall game design strategies for the studio and inject deep story-telling narrative for these projects.
As the Lead Game Designer, you will be outlining new ideas for the titles, such as prototyping, mechanic design, core game design and interactive narration for the users – you must also bring FUN to the games! You will be up to date with present mobile trends and enjoy playing and making games. The ideal candidate will understand the games market and have good knowledge of analysing in-game metrics and tweaking gameplay/levels as needed.
The studio is working on a range of new titles, which are themed and based on popular series and dramas. This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your design in an open-plan environment, where ideas are commonly contributed, and everyone has an input on the project.
This role can be either 100% remote working (indefinitely), or a hybrid model if you prefer some days onsite.
You must be based in the UK already to be eligible for the 100% remote working option.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Designer in the Games industry
- Experience of prototyping, mechanic design and core game design
- Worked on either Console/PC or Mobile games (mobile preferred)
- Experience of writing clear and concise specs and feature documentation
- An interest in TV Crime Dramas or Horror Movies would be a bonus!
