Experienced Marketing Artist with experience of in-game capture, using capture builds, to export assets, manipulate, colour balance, retouch, to create class leading AAA screenshots and renders for this world leading VR dev studio and Develop Award winning publishing team.
Their industry-leading publishing team has over 25 years’ combined experience within the VR space, plus decades more across major games companies, creating innovative and impactful marketing and commercial campaigns
In addition to supporting the release of their internally developed titles, they co-fund and support games from other studios through their Third-Party Publishing Initiative. Following a recent $35 million investment, they’ve got even more incredible titles across both existing and future VR platforms to be announced soon.
The role
The Marketing Artist will create outstanding and evocative marketing imagery from in-game assets, for a broad range of VR titles. You will also support the creation of wider marketing materials for their games.
Create amazing in-game marketing assets, including screenshots, renders, key visuals etc.
Compose imagery, using a combination of capture builds or in-engine. Capture in real-time or through posing and composing the scene or elements as appropriate.
Postproduction work on assets, as is necessary and suitable for the deliverable.
Explore and iterate when developing assets, building upon the brief, creative challenges and stakeholder feedback.
Work closely with the development team to obtain builds and assets to support campaign materials.
Support the Creative Team on wider digital marketing materials for both thier games and company, including assets for social media, advertising, websites etc. and versioning for marketplaces etc.
Manage personal workflow and ensure stakeholders are aware of pending timelines.
Requirements
Who are we looking for?
Min 2 years as a Marketing Artist, or related role, within a video game developer or publisher.
Very desirable is experience utilising in-engine (Unreal, Unity, In-house engine) and game builds to capture, compose and create screenshots and other in-game assets.
Experience in post-production of assets.
Expert knowledge of key design programs, namely: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Maya is highly desirable.
Your portfolio should demonstrate:
Experience developing in-game marketing assets for gaming brands, including screenshots and other in-game visuals.
An excellent eye for composition and visual storytelling, meticulous attention to detail and high-quality final delivery.
Good postproduction skills. A proven understanding of graphic design principles and creative artworking, including excellent layout and typographic skills
Working to a brief, considering the creative, audience and messaging goals.
An individual who is:
Highly collaborative, comfortable iterating through feedback from both commercial and creative stakeholders.
Efficient working to deadlines, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
An effective and personable communicator across different disciplines and seniorities.
Knowledgeable and passionate about video games and the video game industry
Salary to £50k plus benefits, hybrid role, minimum 2 days in their Hampshire studio.
