They're a small, ambitious indie team gearing up to launch our next title. With corporate branding and thier website going live this week, They’re ready to hit the ground running—and they need a talented programmer to help bring our vision to life.
This is a rare opportunity to be the sole programmer on a tightly-knit team, meaning you’ll have real ownership, creative input, and the chance to shape the technical direction of the project from the ground up.
The Role
I am looking for a mid-level programmer who thrives in a hands-on, execution-focused environment. You’ll be our go-to developer, responsible for building core systems, solving gameplay challenges, and collaborating closely with design and art to bring the game to life.
This is not a management role—it’s for someone who loves to build, iterate, and ship.
️ Responsibilities
- - Develop and maintain gameplay systems, tools, and pipelines
- - Collaborate with designers and artists to implement features and mechanics
- - Optimize performance across platforms
- - Own the codebase and ensure stability and scalability
- - Rapidly prototype and iterate based on team feedback
- - Contribute to technical planning and architecture decisions
Requirements
- - Proven experience shipping at least one indie AA title (ideally two), or mainstream AA/AAA game
- - Strong proficiency in C++, Unity, or Unreal Engine
- - Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- - Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across disciplines
Work Setup
Hybrid model: 1–2 days per week hot-desking or office-based (flexible)
- Fully remote: First 6–8 weeks; long-term remote possible for top-tier candidates
- Immediate start: We’re ready to go—just waiting for the right person
