Platform Design Lead – Asia or Remote

Our client is the world’s largest competitive skill-based gaming platform, allowing users to engage in both free and paid tournaments across 60+ games. Our platform covers various genres, including fantasy sports, sports simulations, puzzles, casual games, social casino and board games.

We are searching for a Platform Design Lead to shape our design vision, refine user experiences, and spearhead product innovation.This role involves leading a team of designers, fostering creativity, and embedding a strong design philosophy within the company. This position is based in Asia, but remote work with occasional travel can be arranged for the ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the design strategy for the platform, ensuring an intuitive and enjoyable experience for players.
• Oversee the development of user-friendly, visually appealing, and engaging gaming interfaces.
• Design high-quality visuals, wireframes, prototypes, and storyboards to address UX challenges on the platform.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish impactful design roadmaps that enhance both business outcomes and user satisfaction.
• Continuously assess and refine product features using data-driven insights to optimize user interactions.
• Collaborate with Product Designers to analyze user needs and resolve fundamental pain points.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of designers, providing guidance and professional development.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the design team.
• Conduct user research to gain a deeper understanding of player preferences and behaviors, translating insights into practical design improvements.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in gaming, technology, and design, bringing fresh ideas and innovations into the client's product development.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in the gaming industry is highly desirable.
• Expertise in Figma and other design tools to create compelling and functional user interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles, interaction design, and user research methodologies.
• A well-rounded portfolio demonstrating exceptional Platform Design work and innovative problem-solving.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong collaboration skills to work seamlessly with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Leadership experience with a focus on mentorship, team development, and creative empowerment.
