Principal Platform Product Manager, Fully Remote. Paas & SaaS
Our client is a leading software development company making world class 3D design software. They are searching for a Principal Platform Product Manager, where you will lead a team of dedicated Product Managers in advancing our platform technologies, services, and tools. Your pivotal role involves delivering PaaS-based digital twin capabilities, enhancing developer productivity, and improving the user experience for digital twin products. Collaboration within the Platform team and with product, UX, and development teams is essential.
Success in this position involves driving the adoption of the Platform, leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative features that cater to the needs of our internal product teams, and accelerating digital twin integration in our products.
Your contributions will enhance the value of the Platform, streamline digital twin integration, and improve developer and user experiences across product lines. You will play a key role in shaping the future of infrastructure design and management products, solidifying our leadership.
We seek an experienced software product manager with a proven track record in strategy creation and execution. The role requires a balance between strategic planning and agile iteration. You should be enthusiastic, possess a growth mindset, and be comfortable working with empowered product teams.
Your Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies and roadmaps to enhance the Platform’s portfolio, focusing on integrating third-party products.
• Conduct internal and external research to understand developer and user needs, along with industry trends, to improve the Platform.
• Define strategic business outcomes and establish quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) in collaboration with Platform leadership to align the platform with our product and technology goals.
• Manage and communicate OKRs and plans transparently with stakeholders, leadership, and senior management.
• Lead discovery efforts to develop innovative platform capabilities that exceed developer and user expectations.
• Work closely with UX designers, developers, and other product team members to execute the Platform's strategy.
• Monitor the Platform’s performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure ongoing enhancement.
• Build and maintain relationships with teams inside and outside the Platform group to facilitate capability development, prioritization, and adoption.
• Develop policies and procedures as needed and spend most of the time working with empowered teams, supporting and empowering others.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in product management and development, with a focus on developer enablement. Platform PM experience is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional initiatives with high organizational visibility.
• Extensive knowledge of product management practices, particularly in SaaS or PaaS sectors.
• Ability to build and lead high-performing, empowered teams in dynamic environments.
• Advanced degree in Business, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
• Technical proficiency for effective collaboration with engineering teams and defining product specifications.
• Passion for understanding and meeting the needs of developers and internal customers.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at evolving ideas from conception to successful launch.
• Skill in balancing strategic product vision with hands-on operational management.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts and strategies to a diverse audience.
• Solid understanding of digital twin technologies, AI/ML, and familiarity with our Platform, products, and the competitive landscape is highly advantageous.
