Overview
As Producer at Extra Mile Studios, you will be at the heart of our game development process, overseeing multiple work-for-hire projects across PC, console, handheld, and mobile. Working closely with the Studio Head and the wider Reforged Studios Group, you will play a key role in guiding the team, fostering their growth, and driving the success of our studio.
This is a position that requires strong production expertise, a passion for delivering exceptional gaming experiences, and is a unique opportunity to shape the way we work and make a significant impact on our day-to-day operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage multiple game development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high quality
- Working with external clients as the key point of contact to translate their requirements into actionable tasks for the development team
- Oversee and refine production processes, establishing best practices to improve efficiency across the studio
- Own project budgets and schedules, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep projects on track
- Work closely with the Studio Head and the Reforged Studios Group to align project goals, resourcing, and business objectives
- Mentor and support development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Drive cross-discipline communication, ensuring smooth coordination between designers, artists, programmers, and external stakeholders
- Identify and implement tools and workflows to optimise development efficiency
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven experience as a Producer in game development, ideally with experience managing multiple simultaneous projects
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams to success
- Expertise in game production methodologies and experience tailoring them to fit different project needs
- A solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management within game development
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across internal teams and external partners
- Ability to identify production risks early and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Experience in co-development and a deep understanding of the development lifecycle from concept to launch
- Experience with project management tools, such as Jira
We have a hybrid work model in place so living within commuting distance of our Glasgow studio will be a must.
