The Production Director is the highest production leader in one of Avalanche Studios Group biggest projects, reporting directly to Executive Producer and is part of the Senior Project Management team.
As the highest production leader, the Production Director represents the production team in the Directors group. Your primary focus is internal, driving the overall game development in close collaboration with the Executive Producer and Directors.
What you'll do:
- You are part of the Senior Project Management team, where you together with the selected Directors, and the EP oversee the entire project. In this setting you have the responsibility to deliver the game to time and budget
- Making sure the projects production team delivers according to agreed roadmap
- Identify and flag risks and issues that prevents the project to deliver according to roadmap, and come with suggestions to the Senior Project Management team for mitigations
- Overall accountable for setting the processes, rituals and routines in the project to create the most efficient and reliable delivery
- Being the producer for the Directors
- Prepare with the production team for delivery of the next project gate
- A Production Director at Avalanche Studios Group is a senior leader and as such you will participate in activities related to people management, staffing and recruitment
Who you are:
- Extensive experience in game development production, ideally at a senior leadership level
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies and processes (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience working with external publishers
