Our client is a well-established video game studio in search of a talented Technical Animator to join their exciting team and assist with their latest projects. This role is offered fully remote.
What you will be doing:
- Be responsible for creating advanced animation rigs
- Work closely with the Animation Lead to facilitate the creation and development of pipelines for animation
- Create tools to improve/support international animation pipelines
- Identity bottlenecks in animation pipelines
- Perform rig fixes and troubleshooting during production
- Work with the technical animation team to drive long-term technology and improve the workflows for animators
- Provide and receive constructive technical feedback to maintain high standards of quality
- Contribute to the estimation, planning and prioritization of tasks
Who you are:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Technical Animator role or similar
- Ability to create and define tools for art and animation pipelines
- Knowledge of industry standard project management tools and source software
- Great knowledge and proficiency of Maya and Motion builder
- Experience with Unreal Engine, and Unreal Engine animation systems
- Experience with building procedural character systems e.g., ground alignment/Foot IL, Aim controllers etc
- Experience with Metahumans, skeleton/rigs
- Good understating of facial animation systems
- Great English written and verbal communication skills
