At Avalanche Studios Group we are now crafting our next cutting-edge AAA game and we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Animator to join us! We're open to have someone joining us in either our Stockholm or Malmö studio.
The PositionAs a Senior Animator you will be working with a talented team of programmers, designers and animators to fully realize content for our in-game features. The ideal candidate will have experience breathing life into characters and creatures. This position requires you to take on a considerable amount of ownership and responsibility. You are expected to bring your passion, highly developed animation skills and creative problem solving to contribute to our project on many levels.
What you'll do:
- Produce vibrant and exciting new (keyframe) animations for our project
- Collaborate in a cross-disciplinary environment in the creation of in-game content
- Work with the Animation Director and Leads to ensure that animation content which meets the expectations of quality, consistency and style
- Review animations with your team, and provide artistic and technical feedback and guidance
- Work with internal developers in ideating and troubleshoot animations
- Set up/work with animation state machines and blend trees
- Work with additive, partial and layered animation systems
Who you are:
- A highly skilled Animator who is passionate about animation and video games
- Strong skills and deep understanding of animation fundamentals in different styles (stylized, hyper-realistic, cartoony, etc.)
- Have accomplished observational skills (a keen eye) coupled with a strong understanding of weight distribution and pacing/timing
- 5+ years of experience working as an Animator in the games industry (preferably with keyframe)
- Be able to demonstrate and excel in production of keyframed and mocap animation for both humans and creatures
- Accomplished knowledge of current animation techniques and 3rd party animation Software (Maya and Motion Builder)
- Good communication skills and experience working in a team environment
- Having cinematic knowledge and experience working on cut scenes is a plus

The Malmö locationYou’ll find us in a standout building from 1958, just a stone’s throw from the Central Station. Within these walls, the American dream was leveraged to sell muscle cars more than half a century ago. Today, the location balances Avalanche Studios Group’s industrial, high-octane heritage with a bright and homey vibe featuring resident dogs and patio-grown chilies.
