Senior DevOps Engineer - Various locations in Europe

"To apply: Ref - 5370761. My client is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic Engineering team to work on a AAA project. This role is critical as they continue to innovate and enhance their gaming platforms, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and scalable. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with their development and operations teams to oversee the integration and deployment processes for our cutting-edge games. Your expertise will play a vital role in automating workflows, improving system performance, and orchestrating a smooth pipeline from development through production. You will have the opportunity to lead initiatives aimed at optimising their cloud infrastructure, managing container orchestration (such as Kubernetes), and implementing effective CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development process.

Automate system configurations and deployments to improve efficiency and reliability.

Monitor and optimize the performance of production systems and applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features.

Implement best practices for infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

Manage containerization and orchestration services, primarily using Docker and Kubernetes.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in DevOps or site reliability engineering, preferably in the gaming industry.

Strong proficiency in cloud services, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Experience using Linux

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for optimising systems and processes.
