Netspeak Games is a remote-first games studio, dedicated to making wholesome social games!
We are on the lookout for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to go end to end from the UI all the way back to the database. This role demands a versatile engineer capable of handling the technical demands of a robust gaming platform while also diving into the intricacies of gameplay feature implementation. You will be a pivotal figure in enabling our games to run smoothly and roll out features requiring UI, gameplay, data & scaling support simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain our gameplay systems and backend platform, ensuring uptime, scalability, and innovative solutions across various locations
Build and automate platform services, tools, and processes, ranging from custom game logic to integration of open-source technology & out of the box solutions
Collaborate with game design to ensure technical requirements are met and gameplay features are implemented effectively.
Contribute to all architecture decisions both in and out of the game engine; keeping our whole tech stack adaptable to future needs and changes.
Design and implement gameplay features using blueprints, unreal’s cpp APIs and cross platform tools like firebase
Manage the technical aspects of gameplay features from concept to completion, including documentation and addressing any technical challenges.
Work closely with the production, analytics, and product focused teams, providing technical insights and implementing analytics to measure player impact.
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine, C++, blueprints and UMG
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals in languages such as C++, Go, Python, etc.
- Experience with cloud technologies like GCP/AWS, serverless architectures.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing programmable APIs (interfaces, REST, RPCs, etc.)
- Experience supporting applications in production environments.
- Experience working within a remote team would be beneficial, but not essential
