Senior Game Designer – AAA Racing Game – Midlands, UK – FTC

OPM’s client is a first-party Xbox Game Studio that are passionate about making genre-defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and, most of all, fun.

The successful candidate will work with Gameplay teams to deliver character-driven gameplay systems as well as take ownership of the design and implementation of combat features, Enemies, 3C’s and traversal.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous Game Design experience, ideally on a AAA title. 
• Highly motivated and flexible approach to your work. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Text-based or visual scripting tools. 
• Previous Combat Design and 3C’s experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take ownership of features within the game and both creating and maintaining high-quality designs.
• Use propriety tools to implement features to the highest standards. 
• Act as a champion of quality while developing highly satisfying, engaging action gameplay. 
• Both mentor and support junior teammates, providing feedback on design work.
