"To apply: Ref - 5359800. An excellent opportunity to be a part of a small dynamic team based in Australia, working to develop an exciting new project in the games industry as a Senior Designer.
Responsibilities
- Report to the studio director and lead designer, supporting other disciplines when needed. Investigating mission scripts, UE4 implementation and other supporting requirements.
- Facilitate constant communication between team members, ensuring they understand their goals and the bigger picture, liaising with multiple departments and studios to create and/or extend our systems and tools.
- Assist in managing the workload and productivity of the team, giving feedback and providing ideas on controls and gameplay.
- Work closely with members of the design team as well as other departments to develop fun and exciting mission scripting. Take on board feedback from the studio manager, senior designers, and publishers. Be flexible and adaptive with designs based on feedback.
- Test internal builds and report/flag any blocking and large issues before sending to stakeholders.
- Keep and up-to-date knowledge of competitive products for PC, console, VR and mobile.
- Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for tracking production and to communicate new ideas to other team members and support studios while providing clear and detailed reports of bugs to design and other teams.
- Collaborate to develop new and exciting gameplay ideas on additional projects.
Qualifications
- Possessing a Computer Science or Game Design degree with a programming focus is advantageous, however, relevant experience is considered

- Excellent communication, technical and problem-solving skills remaining highly adaptable and able to multi-task and prioritise work based on changing schedules and feedback, with an eye for quality
- Exceptional organisational skills with proven ability to deliver on deadlines
- Candidates must be highly motivated, positive and personable with strong team-working skills
Desirable skills and experience
- 3+ years’ industry experience in a designer role.
- A demonstrable track record of quality in previous work and being credited on at least 1 published title.
- Experience in Unreal or other game engine packages and in a coding or scripting language
