Senior Game Designer (F2P Online Multiplayer)

Freejam is looking for an experienced Senior Game Designer to join the team working on the Robocraft Franchise.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in F2P gameplay, systems and content design, coupled with an ability to create fun and rewarding user-focussed experiences.

Most importantly, the successful candidate will have a passion for quality and a deep knowledge of a broad range of genres across a variety of platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project leadership to deliver top-tier game features that align with the game’s vision.
• Contribute to the development of tools and systems essential for delivering game features at the highest possible quality.
• Prototype game features in the early stages of development to identify and enhance enjoyment.
• Advocate for quality standards in-game features throughout the wider team.
• Conduct comprehensive research across various media streams to enhance the achievement of our project's goals and player experience vision.
• Regularly solicit feedback from the broader team and via testing programs to refine the player experience.
• Assist in conducting playtesting of game updates, offering feedback and ensuing quality control
• Review game features to ensure they align with the GDD and provide an enjoyable player experience
• Collaborate closely with artists, developers and other team members 
• Report to the Game Director and facilitate production planning

Qualifications / Skills:

• Experience in hands-on game development using Unity 
• A passion for F2P games and a strong understanding of the competitive environment across a broad range of devices and platforms
• Seasoned Game Designer with a proven track record in a Senior position, having shipped at least two shipped titles on PC / Console
• Specialist in systems design, complex systems, spreadsheets, grand strategy and game economy.
• Passion for online games
• Proficient in rapid prototyping.
• Demonstrated leadership in overseeing a cross-disciplinary team for the delivery of high-quality features and content.
• Team-oriented individual with the ability to mentor junior team members.
• Analytical thinker capable of dissecting leading market features and understanding the elements that make them exceptional.
