We are partnering with an exciting PC/Console games studio in the Adriatic region, known for its creativity and innovation. They are searching for a Senior Game Designer to join their talented team and play a key role in shaping their next big project. Following the incredible success of their previous title, this new project promises to push boundaries and captivate players worldwide. This is a fantastic opportunity to work onsite in Slovenia, contributing to a vibrant and growing studio with a passionate team.

What you will be doing:

• Oversee the design process from the early concept stage through to full deployment, ensuring ideas are fully realized and executed to a high standard.
• Craft and implement key gameplay features, including player progression systems and core mechanics.
• Develop comprehensive design documentation to clearly outline goals and processes for the development team.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure smooth integration of mechanics and features into the overall game structure.
• Guide and support junior designers, offering guidance, feedback, and helping to advance their design skills.

Who you are:

• At least 5 years of experience in game design, with a solid track record in the industry.
• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing engaging survival and melee combat systems.
• Proven experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and overseeing complex design initiatives.
• A deep understanding of player behaviour, game pacing, and balance mechanics.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box when faced with challenges.
• A true passion for games and an in-depth knowledge of current industry trends and practices.
