Avalanche Studios Group and its creative self-publishing division, Expansive Worlds are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Gameplay Programmer. The role can be based out of the beautiful cities of Malmö or Stockholm in Sweden (a relocation package is provided if required) and can be in office or hybrid.
As a Senior Gameplay Programmer on this project, you will work with our designers to conceive and implement gameplay elements and systems that can take you all over the codebase, from weapon, and animation systems, to emergent gameplay. Your code should be high quality and easily maintainable. Alongside writing awesome gameplay features, you are expected to help improve the talents of less senior developers and act as a role model in the team.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent C++ knowledge
- A keen sense of fun gameplay
- Ability to mentor others
- The ability to abstract a system out of a gameplay design
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
Beneficial Qualifications
- Shipped at least one title
- Familiarity with animation systems
- Experience with consoles
- Experience in Games as a Service
- Experience with in-house engines
- Strong maths skills
