Senior Graphics Programmer – C++/Unreal Engine 5 – AAA FPS – Ireland / Remote

OPMs client is looking for a Senior Graphics Programmer to join their growing team on a full-time basis. This is an unprecedented opportunity to join a thriving independent development studio and work on a high-profile title that will be played by millions of gamers worldwide.

You will help to create beautiful and performant visuals in Unreal Engine to support our clients cutting edge multiplayer PC and console games. As part of a thriving independent development studio you will have a significant impact and contribute on multiple levels to the games they make.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient in C++ and multi-threaded programming techniques
• Expert knowledge of at least one graphics API (DirectX, Vulkan, etc.) including shader development and debugging
• Excellent understanding of how to profile and optimize code for performance and efficiency
• Expert 3D maths skills
• The ability to dive into complex low-level engine systems
• Outstanding Communication and Organizational Skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing and implementing graphical features and tools that support gameplay, in collaboration with the design and art teams
• Being responsible for all GPU performance and optimization
• Collaborate with fellow members of the development team to ensure all code matches the requirements of the game design with the technical constraints of the game engine
• Keep up to date on the latest developments in graphics technology
• Plan and estimate schedules for the work required to implement features in a timely manner
• Report directly to the Lead Programmer
