Senior Systems Engineer AAA Games UK - REF 2945

Our client is a well-established AAA games studio based in London who are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join their team and work on their latest projects. This role is offered onsite alongside excellent relocation assistance, competitive salary, and great benefits.

What will you be doing:

• Write clean, reliable, and portable code.
• Assess, control, and improve game performance.
• Mentor and guide junior programmers on the team, offering clear and informed feedback.
• Keep current with the most recent technology and approaches in game programming.
• Alongside other multiple disciplinary teams, you will accumulate specifications, design, and develop systems to support numerous projects.
• You will contribute to the project's progress by creating and upholding roadmaps in collaboration with your discipline lead.    
• Recognise challenges and obstacles early and resolve them proactively.

Who you are:

• Expert knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
• Professional experience with systems development for PC/Console games. 
• Successfully developed systems for present and next-generation consoles, including IO rendering, content pipelines, and memory management.
• Good knowledge of evaluating and optimising code for efficient CPU, GPU, memory, and bandwidth utilisation, as well as using debuggers.
• Strong understanding of 3D maths analytics and principles.
• Great English written and verbal communication skills.
