Job Title: Senior UI Artist

Location: Guildford, UK

Company: My client, a new AAA Game Development Studio based in Guildford, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior UI Artist to join their creative team. As a Senior UI Artist, you will play a crucial role in crafting inspirational designs and interfaces that enhance the player experience and define how they interact with their games.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-fidelity mock-ups for pre-visualization during pre-production.
• Design elegant UX layouts in collaboration with the design team, including wireframes and user flow.
• Demonstrate an understanding of UX/communication design conventions and their impact on player behavior.
• Utilize strong visual design skills, encompassing proportion, layout, graphical form, typography, color, composition, and negative space.
• Work closely with the Art Director to deliver on the visual direction for the game.
• Create assets and implement UI screens inside Unreal 5.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven UI Art experience within the games industry.
• Shipped at least one game title showcasing your UI Art skills in your portfolio.
• Proficient in creating sleek, clean, and stylish user interfaces.
• Hands-on experience in all stages of UI design, from early wireframes to final in-game assets.
• Strong understanding of UX design principles.
• Familiarity with current and emerging design trends.
• Graphic design skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to work with version control software like Perforce and Git.
