"To apply: Ref - 5349700. We're seeking a creative Systems/Economy Designer to take on a pivotal role in shaping high-level game concepts into intricate models of game pace, balance, and economy.
From conceptualization through to final polish, you'll collaborate closely with our clients game design and development team to bring these concepts to life.
Your responsibilities will include designing economy and balance rules, maintaining a numerical/systems perspective on user behaviour and game mechanics, and leveraging your passion for games to enhance the player experience.
Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize new end-to-end game systems, crafting intricate models of game economy, pace, and balance
• Assist in laying the groundwork and designing specifications for developers to build significant sections of game systems or other applications
• Define game specifications from initial concept to launch, including monetization and playability testing to optimize user retention
• Provide comprehensive feature documentation, diagrams, calculation models, analyses, wireframes, and prototypes
• Take ownership of the quality of game systems, analysing current game content to drive meaningful changes or improvements to game design and monetization concepts
• Design and map out game progression from a systems and monetization perspective
Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in game design, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of successful experience in game system design, balancing, pacing, and monetization strategies for free-to-play games
• Strong ability to understand player motivations and align them with project objectives
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficient in analytical gameplay balancing
• Experience with game production using Unity or a similar game engine
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German is advantageous
This role is hybrid and based in Berlin.
If you currently live in Germany, there is some remote flexibility.
Prior experience in these areas would be desirable but the studio really values talent and passion above all else!
