Technical Artist (2 Month FTC) - Mobile Title – 100% Remote working (From the UK)

A South-East based Games studio are currently looking for a Technical Artist to work on a new innovative mobile title, which they’re aiming to dominate its genre. Founded by established industry experts, the team are made up of award-winning developers who have a history of releasing a range of high-quality games, some of which have been adored in the games industry.

The studio requires this person to work closely with the CTO and Art Director and work on hands-on art creation and in-engine implementation. The role will have you focusing on a few areas, but mainly working on in-game animations for this new title, the game is very collectable heavy, so you’ll be working on creating slick animations for battles, power ups and pack/box opening.

The game will be exciting and fast paced, so part of your role must ensure that the gameplay process is smooth and lag free. This role can offer a chance to own quite a large area of the art side and would suit someone who enjoys working in a small team. This would suit a Technical Artist who likes to work on the art side, making sure the game looks great and is optimised.

In return the studio can offer fully remote working from anywhere in the UK, Private Medical Insurance, a generous Holiday Allowance, Quarterly Team/Fun days and access to multiple onsite hubs, for days you want to collaborate in person.

This is a 2-month FTC with the possibility of turning into a permanent contract.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Technical Artist in the games industry
  • Experience on Mobile (preferred) or PC/Console Games
  • Unity Engine experience is a must have
  • Some experience with After effects or similar
  • Experience with ‘box opening’ and reward animations would be a bonus!
  • A portfolio demonstrating your experience

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a studio who are working on a new title, which you will have a hand in from start to finish. To apply please send your CV to will.hudson@amiqus.com
