Technical Artist – Console/PC Games Studio – North East

A North East based Games studio are currently looking for a Technical Artist to work on a range of new titles on Console/PC platforms. The studio is renowned in the industry for creating high end games and have continually set the bar in the market on both single and multiplayer titles.

As the Technical Artist you will collaborate with the current Art Director to help with bridging the gap between artists and engineers, ensuring an efficient art pipeline and optimised game and systems. Also help develop tools to help streamline their development processes, helping keep things moving in a small collaborative team.   

The role will complement someone looking for creative freedom and a chance to leave their thumbprint on a series of multiplatform projects, overseeing features from concept to completion.

This role is 100% remote working (indefinitely) or can be hybrid if you prefer some onsite days.

You must be based in and eligible to work in the UK already as we are unable to sponsor visas.

Salary range - £27,000-£40,000

Requirements

·         Experience as a Technical Artist in the games industry on mobile, PC or console games

·         Strong Unity 3D or Unreal Engine experience and a good technical understanding of their features

·         Good knowledge of one scripting language – Python, C# (preferred) or Maxscript  

·         Shader development experience

·         3DS Max or Maya experience

·         Experience creating VFX shaders, particle systems would be a bonus

·         An online portfolio showing your past/current work
