Technical Director – Germany – Onsite - PC Videogames

Our client is a world leader in strategy games for PC and console. We're seeking a Technical Director to play a key role in developing what we will be a ground breaking MMO.
Who will you work with?

You’ll join our Engineering team, as Technical Director, you'll be building and leading a team of engineers, ensuring smooth communication between teams and departments, and playing an integral role in the technical ownership of the product. You will report directly to the CTO and collaborate closely with the engineering management team.
We’re specifically looking for someone to be based in Berlin.

What will your role involve?

• Working closely with our CTO, to shape and implement the engineering vision.
• Translating business objectives into concrete technical requirements, enhancing productivity, optimizing processes, and ensuring scalability.
• Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team, departmental directors, and senior leadership to drive workforce planning for the engineering team.
• Leading and mentoring the engineering team in adopting modern development practices, fostering a culture of ongoing improvement and innovation.
• Managing the leadership of the Engineering team across, overseeing team growth, performance evaluations, and regular one-on-ones to ensure alignment and support.

You might be the perfect fit if you have…

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in both agile development and live-ops environments.
• A track record of managing teams of leaders.
• Strong experience in scalable workforce planning for growing teams.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on expertise with modern development practices
• A solid understanding of technical domains and the ability to translate company goals into executable technical strategies.
