Job Overview:

SKC Games Studio, a leading game development company, is looking for a Unity Lead Developer to join our team for an upcoming sci-fi open-world game project. As the Unity Lead Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers to create, design, and implement game mechanics, systems, and features within Unity. This position requires a strong technical background in Unity programming and a deep passion for gaming.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Unity development for a sci-fi open-world game project.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and other developers to deliver high-quality game features.
• Develop gameplay systems and mechanics in Unity.
• Ensure technical excellence by creating and maintaining code standards.
• Ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage a team of developers, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Continuously improve development processes and tools.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration between different systems.

Requirements:

• Excellent understanding of Unity game engine.
• Strong experience in C# programming language.
• 5+ years of experience in game development.
• Experience working on at least one shipped title.
• Experience managing a team of developers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• A passion for gaming and interest in sci-fi genre.
• Experience with multiplayer game development is a plus.

Desired but non-essential:

• Mastery in C# and Python.
• Technical Animation Skills (Rigging, skinning, scripting).
• Experience with ShotGrid
