The Position
We’re looking for a UX Designer for theHunter: Call of the Wild, the genre-defining open-world hunting game! On this project, you’ll work with a seasoned team, using our proprietary AAA engine Apex, to deliver unrivalled outdoor experiences to one of the largest and friendliest communities in gaming.
Who you are
- UX designer with experience in game development who has worked and published at least one console game.
- A design practitioner with strong Photoshop and Figma skills.
- Someone who has experience with requirements for inclusion/accessibility.
- Effective when communicating player and business needs through personas, user stories, service blueprints, journey maps, and other UX tools.
- A UX expert with a portfolio showcasing your UX skills, methodologies, and expertise as a design professional.
- A team player who enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team from planning stages until project release.
- A professional with proof of your education and experience in design processes, design thinking, interaction design, and research methods, information architecture, and human-centered design.
- Iteratively design and test interfaces and interactions to make them simple and intuitive.
- Make strategic design and user experience decisions.
- Someone who enjoys video games and with an abiding love of open-world action games.
- A person with a deep sense of empathy and cares about players, and that everyone, regardless of their background and functional variations deserves to enjoy video games.
What you'll do
- Design how players will interact with game features and use your expertise in UX, interface, and interaction design for the creation of wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, personas, user journeys, and other UX tools.
- Deliver design documentation with clear implementation goals.
- You can deliver final designs, including mock-ups and prototyping, using tools such as Figma, After Effects, Rive.
- Experience in communicating and documenting interface behaviors (e.g. experience in animation and storyboarding)
- Help guide usability and accessibility efforts with your knowledge of best practices for typography, visuals, acoustics and haptic feedback.
- Facilitate workshops for different stages of the development process. This can be for everything between discovery and validation.
- Be the champion of the players; you will be the main advocate of UX in everything we create and you have the players interest at heart.
- Collaborate with the insights team to carry out user research activities and help the development team make research-informed design decisions that put the players first.
