Job Title Senior Development Manager- Dovetail Games
Job Category Development Director
Job Description The Role

Do you like the challenge of making great games with great teams?

We are looking for an experienced and passionate manager to support our development team in delivering the next evolution of our trains franchise.

Reporting to the Director of Product Development, you’ll shape the title’s development plan, coordinate its execution and track its deliverables – from design conception through to post-release support. You’ll be confident in your ability to lead your team to deliver on time and to quality, to always punch above their weight and to do so in a culture where “anything is possible”, but life always comes first.

You’ll have the reach to connect your team to external partners where needed, and the strength to bind like-minded groups together to get a good job done as one.

You’ll have the focus to see above the fires and pitfalls faced by your team on their journey to delivery, and the clarity to make the right calls on course correction. You’ll be comfortable in reporting on the team’s development progress and challenges across the title’s life-cycle, and have the skills to tune that communication to a range of business audiences.

You’ll have a good background knowledge of the games production process, the industry and the key players within it.

Your understanding of what makes a game great for you, and what makes a game great for others will be a key factor in the direction you give to your team members and the decisions you lead them to reach.

At Dovetail Games we are passionate about empowering our people to build beautiful worlds, craft breath-taking games and do the best work of their career to deliver our vision: “By Enthusiasts, For Enthusiasts”.

We have recently moved into a brand new river-front studio in the heart of the Historic Dockyard in Kent, UK. We are growing fast, developing our games using cutting-edge technology and delivering these on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Senior S/X.
