Role Overview:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be integral to maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, mostly focussed on the systems used directly by our developers to ensure we maintain a consistent, reliable service. Our team’s key focus is to ensure there is minimal downtime in the game development process due to IT related issues under our purview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in management and maintenance of Perforce and Gitlab
- Manage and maintain Debian-based Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS).
- Utilize Linux management tools such as Puppet, Foreman, and RHEL Satellite for system configuration and administration.
- Automate and script Linux tasks using Bash and Ansible.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT systems in our Atlassian Confluence instances for solutions and processes.
- Support O365/Entra and other SaaS applications.
- Maintain good working relationships with the game development teams to assist in identifying areas to focus and facilitate development timelines where possible in IT work
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience with Perforce (P4/Helix Core) administration
- Proficiency in managing Debian-based Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS).
- Experience with Linux management tools (Puppet, Foreman, RHEL Satellite).
- Skilled in Linux automation and scripting (Bash, Ansible).
- Basic server hardware maintenance experience (Rack mounting, cabling, hardware upgrades)
- Basic familiarity with Windows Server management (Setup, configuration, application installation/management)
Desirable (Non-essential) Skills:
- Familiarity with VMWare and/or Proxmox virtualization technologies.
- Experience with storage management systems (Nimble/Alletra).
- Familiarity with O365/Entra and SaaS administration.
- Exposure to logging and monitoring tools.
