An exciting opportunity for a Head of Marketing with strong entertainment and gaming experience to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced agency disruptor in the games, entertainment and tech space.

We are looking for a brilliant person with between 5-8 years’ experience working with a games company and having led multiple games launch marketing campaigns.

We are looking for a creative and passionate person who lives and breathes video games to support this growth. You will take responsibility for planning, delivering and executing clear marketing campaigns for games and digital products that we are supporting our clients with - as well as having overall marketing oversight across all our client marketing campaigns in other sectors. This individual will be involved in every aspect of working in a pioneering creative experience agency, working closely as a senior member of our team and working closely with our two female co-founders.

We are very fast-paced, optimistic, flexible, and a little maverick. Our team work hybrid between our office base in Liverpool and remotely- we also have a base in Toronto. Similarly, our clients are spread across the UK, Europe and USA. If you’re game, we can offer a huge opportunity with the potential to grow a fantastic career. The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Creative Officer, you’ll collaborate to plan and present marketing strategies and campaigns for key clients. This will include:

  • Planning and execution of marketing campaign planning and activation for assigned client products - working in conjunction with other Aurora teams - design, content, UX / UI
  • Developing and driving creative and commercially effective GTM strategies end-to end, focused on delivering KPI-driven activations
  • Delivering incredible creative thinking to ensure the marketing campaign stands out in the marketplace
  • Working closely with the Client and Project Managers on asset production and delivery to ensure timely and accurate marketing materials are in place
  • Developing working knowledge of assigned client sectors, products and marketplaces, retail landscape, consumer profile, marketing activity and pricing economics
  • Ensuring expert knowledge across key client titles and associated genres (including digital retail needs, key selling features, milestone delivery dates, demo ability, sales forecasts, market and genre status and history, and any territory specifics and competitor titles)
  • Developing and maintaining outstanding working relationships within the Aurora team and with clients to ensure fully aligned execution of marketing strategies
  • Work closely with the client PR Teams to ensure that the PR plan supports the marketing plan
  • Continual campaign evaluation to ensure real time optimisation as well as post launch marketing review and re-promotion strategies to ensure products reach or exceed targets – manage lifecycle of products during planning process
  • Management of a Digital Marketing Manager working across other client verticals

 

The Head of Marketing will have

  • A relevant degree and/or Product marketing experience in a global organisation within the games industry or related entertainment industry
  • Must be detail oriented, possess good time management skills and be able to prioritise in a changing environment
  • Demonstrable record of delivering marketing elements to a quality level, by planned dates and within agreed budgets
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Strong appreciation of publishing and broad, in-depth and up-to-date product knowledge of the mainstream games industry is required
  • Excellent presentation skills, to all sizes of audience
  • Knowledge and understanding of current media trends, both within the specialist gaming environment and wider with a passion and curiosity for Gen Z and Millennial trends
  • Strong level of creativity across marketing plans and elements
  • Proactiveness to think ahead and identify tasks that need to be carried out and the motivation to complete these on own initiative
  • Flexibility to react quickly, reschedule and prioritise workload
  • A team player - able to work with in-house and free-lance resource and get the best out of teams to deliver world class, award winning projects and work
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and to always look for the best solution
  • Able to demonstrate pace and agility - and be able to keep complex, multiple projects on track

You will manage multiple work streams as part of a small, fast-growing team with both full-time and part-time team members – we work both hybrid and flexibly.

You need to be collaborative and a problem solver, proactively finding solutions and working closely with the wider team to deliver great projects and maintain productive client partnerships.
