Senior Unity Developer – Mobile Studio – London (100% Remote)
This growing co-development studio, now in its seventh year of operation, are looking to hire an experienced Network Support Admin to support their small games programming team. This isn’t a full-time role, but would be ideal for a contractor on a retained basis.
The Network Support Admin would be responsible for maintaining a small network of remote workers connected to their central server location. Users are mostly engineers with complex hardware and software setups, running windows.
Infrastructure - Windows, Microsoft Visual Studio, Google workspace, Slack, Perforce, JIRA/Confluence, Adobe creative suite, Unreal Engine would be the main software. Sophos VPN hardware/software to connect all the users to the network which resides in a rack at our ISP. User hardware is just very high spec PCs.
Role includes:
- ensuring network is secure, robust and fast
- procuring and deploying new workstations, maintaining existing ones
- working with clients to setup connections to their networks for collaboration
- troubleshooting problems as they arise, including user workstations and wider network.
- responding to any downtime as a priority
This is a fully remote role within the UK. The studio ideally want someone to be on hand via Slack, phone, Zoom etc. when needed. Remote support, everyone connects via Sophos VPN hardware.
