Founded in 2003, this successful developer has had a string of successful titles across all gaming platforms for partners that include Microsoft, SEGA, Sony and many more. They are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Lead/Senior UI programmer to join the Sheffield team, who will lead the UI team on a flagship AAA franchise title currently in development at the studio. This is undoubtedly a key hire for this project; and presenting a career defining opportunity to make a real impact on one of the most exciting games currently being made in the UK.
As Lead/Senior UI Programmer you will provide leadership, support and direction to the project UI programming team, working closely with UI artists and designers to implement, modify and debug UI features in both C++ and scripts. You will collaborate with other internal departments (Art, Design, Audio, QA, etc…) and mentor more junior UI programmers. In addition, you will be hands on, profiling and optimising UI performance and troubleshoot UI issues, improve and extend game UI framework as needed and create and extend UI tools as appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Extensive professional studio experience as a Senior UI Programmer
• Strong C++ and low level programming skills
• Multi-platform experience
• Worked on a minimum of 3 shipped titles
