General Overview of the position:


Native speaker of one of following languages: French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Portuguese Brazil, Japanese, Chinese or Korean

Spoken and written English to native level

Main duties and responsibilities:  
  • professionalism at all times and quality excellence in all work performed
  • handle localisation requests and queries from clients
  • managing client relationship and client expansion
  • develop client’s current workflows
  • provide swift answer and resolution to quality issues
  • perform project planning and risk assessment prior allocation
  • establish the most efficient process for a given project/client
  • responsible for project mark-ups
  • maintain resources relationship and ensure efficient communication
  • final deliverables quality responsibility
  • maintaining project tracking, and ensure timely delivery
  • assist with quality control of external suppliers
  • work closely with the sales development team to establish client patterns, pursue sales opportunities and ensure outstanding relationship is maintained with all clients

  Other duties 
  • Analyse project profitability
  • Create post-mortem reports on specific projects
  • Helping with writing training documentation
  • Ensuring project management system is up to date at all time
  • Sticking to internal deadlines

AND other such duties as are within the job purpose and at the manager’s discretion  

Education 
  • bachelor university degree, particular in a linguistic or computer related areas.

  Essential requirements 
  • Games and localisation industry experience
  • Understanding of file functionality and compatibility
  • Awareness of financial implications of actions
  • Good PC skills: Windows OS, Office package, FTP
  • Sound knowledge of memoQ, Trados and Xbench
  • Ability to identify problems in the text to be translated and a good eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to organise self and others
  • Able to manage time effectively
  • Excellent motivation of self and others
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
  • Able to prioritise effectively
  • Team Player
  • Pro-active, tenacious and enthusiastic
  • Willing to undertake further training to meet the demands of the role

  Desirable requirements  
  • Games industry experience, ideally also marketing experience
  • Experience in handling Audio projects (dubbing, subtitling, voice over)
  • Ability to perform the role of a good ambassador for the organisation at all time
  • Knowledge of game localisation procedures and format standards
    of a resourceful and creative nature
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to perform the role of a good ambassador for the organisation at all time

  Experience 
  • ideally previous work experience as a localisation assistance in testing games
  • ideally the candidate will have a good knowledge of video games.
