Job Purpose
Together with our players, we're united as one Jagex tribe. Together we're building deep and engaging multiplayer gaming experiences for players everywhere. We continue to recruit massively into RuneScape and RuneScape Old School as they have more platforms and expansions to conquer, we're now also undertaking the exciting challenge of building up our company with Unreal Engine 4 experience. Apply your passion for low-level technology and drive development of technology use for Unreal Engine that will enable an all-star team to help create a deep connected experience. Collaborate with peer discipline leaders and the production team to innovate and focus on the development of exciting, new gaming experience.

Key Duties:
• Regular monitoring and optimising the performance of the game
• Maintenance of critical systems throughout the development
• Supporting integration of multiple platforms
• Improving development within Unreal Engine 4
• Educating the team on best practices
• Tooling team to succeed

Essential Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine 4
• Professional experience of programming with modern C++
• Strong Computer Science and Maths background
• Shipping UE4 titles on multiple platforms (PC or Console)
• Profiling and optimising CPU, GPU usage
• Optimising Memory and Bandwidth utilisation

Desirable Skills:
• Experience working on networked or MMO games
• Experience working with DevOps teams
• Experience working with hierarchical engines
• Experience working with non-technical members of a development team
