Job Description Working within a team you will be designing an Augmented Reality (AR) app for a large client. You will cover the whole design approach remit from initial proposal and concepting through to user interactions, UX and product design. You will also fully design and ultimately create the final UI assets and be liaising with all other functions across the studio from start to finish of the project.

Working under the guidance of the Design Manager, you will have full responsibility from product concept through to development and delivery.

Versatility, flexibility and innovative thinking are fundamental within this role. Being able to think logically and quickly develop insightful, well-considered solutions, and be able to modify and iterate existing designs based on feedback is a necessity. Passion and creativity and an unwavering desire to ensure their solution achieves the aims set by their client is essential.

You will be able to produce design elements that achieve professional creativity to the required standards, on budget and on time.

Responsibilities
  • Fully design an AR app, taking responsibility for defining, capturing and documenting customer requirements and executing deliverables against the project plan
  • Design & create the final UI assets
  • Research interaction and best practice design trends
  • Construct wireframe designs, user flows, and clear, concise product documentation
  • Work alongside the development team to rapidly prototype and iterate
  • Execute interaction design and visual design
  • Work collaboratively with different members of their studio team on all aspects of art, design and animation
  • Create industry leading interactive concepts whilst ensuring usability, accessibility and best practice standards are always adhered to
  • Work with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, PowerPoint, 3DS Max and design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD
  • Partake in daily scrums and ensure JIRA is utilised and kept up to date

Requirements
  • Extensive experience working in app/game design
  • Experience within gaming, VR, AR, creative eLearning projects would be an advantage
  • A demonstrable portfolio of UI/UX design work that covers the various stages of projects
  • Ability to create concise documentation to aid development
  • Experience of UX areas such as Interaction Design, User Interface Design and Information Architecture
  • Knowledge of UX prototyping software is advantageous
  • Experience with User Interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies
  • The ability to create UI layouts and assets to a very high standard.


  • Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, 3D packages such as 3DSMax or Maya
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Team focused, solution-driven and able to influence others in a positive way
  • Genuine creativity and a keen interest in technology
  • Self-motivated, organised and driven
  • Accustomed to Agile methodologies
  • MS Office (essential)
  • Ideally experienced in JIRA
