Job Description Due to our continued sales growth and successful brand portfolio within the digital games media sector, we have a requirement for an ambitious Senior Account Manager to take on a new segment within our advertising sales team and drive new revenue areas for the company.

Working with the biggest games publishers, ad agencies and media partners, this role will take full advantage of Gamer Network’s leading position in the market to bring new forms of digital marketing and sponsorship opportunities to our roster of clients, agencies and partners.

This will suit a forward-thinking, ambitious, and experienced Account Manager, who is used to dealing with major clients and is ready to step up into a senior role, or is already at that experienced level and is looking for a fresh and challenging new media proposition to take to the market.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to lead the media advertising sales cycle with a diverse range of direct and agency clients, and media partners.
  • Manage new and existing client relationships via telephone, email and face to face, in particular the ability to present and pitch to major agencies and media owners about new and progressive digital marketing concepts.
  • Achieve traction and grow market share within emerging and often very competitive new advertising media sectors and platforms.
  • Play a role in the full lifecycle of media advertising, from prospecting leads to pitching, tendering, and delivering media advertising, to reporting and campaign follow up.
  • As a Senior Account Manager, a high level of ownership and accountability is key to this role, including continuous communication with management and media partners.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrable ability to succeed in a demanding, client-facing, commercially-oriented media sales or account management role.
  • Ability to sell online media advertising solutions to videogames, entertainment and technology clients, agencies and media partners.
  • Instinctive ability to manage and grow relationships, especially with major media agencies.
  • Ability to present to all levels of seniority, both externally and internally.
  • High degree of business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • A strong work ethic with a high degree of determination and drive.
  • A positive attitude and a team mentality.
  • Show passion and excitement about the videogames sector in general.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Good standard of education, ideally to Degree level, or equivalent.
  • Any knowledge of the games industry, especially online gaming, streaming / video media, social media, influencers and sponsored content.
  • An interest in the technology, entertainment and lifestyle sector in general.
