Job Description | We're working with one of the nations best loved and most successful animation houses. They're well known for their Oscar winning cartoons and are now moving into Game Development; with their creative team and art skills it's a match made in heaven. They already have a publishing deal with one of the globe's most prolific game publisher. They've recently hired a Game Director and are now looking for their Technical Lead. You will be the only game developer working on this project for the time being and you along with the Game Director and internal vision holders will be the main shaping force behind this IP. They're using games like Mario Odyssey Zelda Tok Tori 2 and Magic Circle as their inspiration. It will also incorporate the story telling and humour this studio is so well known for. As Tech Lead on this role you'll be initially tasked with developing a prototype in Unreal Engine; in production you will lead a team of roughly 5 or 6 programmers ensuring code quality is of the highest standard leading the development of game features lead the pipeline and generally making the game as good as it possibly can be. Though there will be some management working with the game producer we expect this role to be in code every day tackling the most challenging problems and features.
